With the inaugural points series coming to an end, we’re going to be profiling some of our racers from this year getting their reaction to the first season and what they’re looking forward to next year. We’re kicking things off with the 2.6 class Overall Champion and Fat Cat Customz Freestyle Champion Todd Henderson

What got you into racing RC monster trucks?
“Wanted to try something new and this felt like a good fit considering most of the parts on a SMT10 I’m used to from my crawlers”
What did you think of the Points Series?
“The Nor Cal RC Monster Truck Showdown Point Series was amazing. Yes, there are some little hiccups that will be cleared for next season but overall the experience was phenomenal.”
What was the most memorable moment of the season?
“The heads up between my “Kamikaze” and Jordan‘s “Kurt” was killer. I might have lost but that race got everyone on their feet.”
Any changes you plan on making for next season?
“New body (duh) and chassis setup to see if I can squeeze anymore performance out of it to stay on top”
Who is your toughest competition?
“If I had to name a rival, I would say Torey‘s “Joker”. I have much respect for that man/machine combo. Definitely one that makes me up my game.”
