This week we’re featuring the creator of series sponsors Insano Industries and Black Market RC: Jacob Smallwood. After testing the waters at a couple events last year, Jacob returned to the series with 3 of his BMRC chassis and ended up 2nd in the 2.2 Class. Here are his thoughts on this season and his plans for next year.

What got you into R/C monster trucks?
Spent enough time playing with full size ones, I had to find something to do with my time once I stopped doing that full time.
What was your biggest accomplishment this season?
Finally winning a freestyle with Dragon Slayer and the continued learning on how to drive.
What are you looking to improve on next season?
My Driving
What are your thoughts on how the points series went this year?
I really enjoyed it, loved racing all the different tracks and getting to race with new people.
What are you planning on running next season?
I looking to stick with two 2.6 Monster Trucks, at least one 2.2, a custom retro, and hopefully I can teach my oldest daughter to control a truck so she can start racing in the 2.2 Class.
