Since the dust settled at the final round at Rescue Community Center RC track in October and the trophies were all handed out, a lot has been going on behind the scenes to set the stage for 2022. For starters, Nor Cal RC Monster Trucks is finalizing all of the requirements to be a 501(c)(7) non-profit hobby club! You’re likely asking yourself, what does that mean? In short: we will be officially recognized by the government as a hobby club organized for recreational purposes and that the fees collected from members’ entries are being used on enhancing event production and will benefit you as members. There is now a Board of Directors who meet before and after each season to discuss and update any rule changes and ensures that funds are handled in accordance with the club’s bylaws.
With this new designation, we decided to update the club’s logo and Jacob Smallwood of Insano Industries knocked it out of the park! This series would not be possible without the support of our great sponsors who are on board for the 2022 season.
We are thrilled to continue partnering with JConcepts as our presenting sponsor. They are second-to-none offering top notch wheels, tires, bodies, and accessories while always innovating and continuing to release more exciting products for the solid-axle monster truck community. They have once again generously donated an assortment of their products that will be raffled off at our races.
AMain Hobbies, known for having a wide selection of RC Planes, RC Helicopters, Drones, and RC Cars/Trucks, along with industry leading customer service, support, and lightning-fast shipping, has returned not only to host two huge events in May and August at their world-class Silver Dollar RC Raceway in Chico, but have also donated Protek and EcoPower products to be raffled off at our races as well.
The Bee Line Trucking 2.6 Monster Truck Class will be more competitive than ever with an end-of-the-year Podium Pot! Bee Line Trucking has already put up $200 as a starter fund that will be split up among the top 3 podium finishers. To be eligible for the Podium Pot, racers must contribute from the beginning of the series $10/event for at least 3 of the events or a flat $50 at the first race. Bee Line Trucking will then match all contributions made through the first 5 rounds and will be awarded out as follows: 50% to 1st, 30% to 2nd, and 20% to 3rd. This is entirely optional but will make for one exciting season!
Nor Cal Performance Diesel is back on board for 2022 as the class sponsor for the 2.2 Mini Monster Class. Black Market RC, known for custom replica chassis and accessories, will be debuting a new shafty retro chassis for the 2022 season and will be the Retro Class title sponsor. BC O’Neill and the Blu-Chrush Mega Truck team have stepped up to sponsor this year’s freestyle competitions in addition to bringing full video coverage to our YouTube channel.
On August 6th, Wrench Head RC presents the Nor Cal RC Monster Truck Showdown exhibition event at AMain Silver Dollar RC Raceway which promises to be the biggest solid-axle monster truck race of the year with racers from all over the west coast coming to battle it out in racing and freestyle. Taylor Underhill will be providing custom event trophies and on-track elements that will make this an event you won’t want to miss! More details to come this summer.
Make sure to come out to Auburn RC on Saturday, March 12th and try out some new track layouts and get your trucks dialed in for the upcoming season. Discount season passes are available now and can be purchased at the Preseason Shakedown and Round 1 in April if you want to save money on entry fees for the season. It’s going to be an exciting year and we look forward to seeing you all on the track!
