The offseason is upon us, and so begins the annual tradition of the Racer Recap series where we ask our competitors who raced a majority of the events their thoughts on how their season went and plans for the future among other things. This week’s feature is on David Heimbigner who came in 2nd in both the 2.6 and Retro classes this season!
How many years have you been racing R/C Monster Trucks?
I have been racing RC Monster trucks for 4 years now.
What other forms of R/C do you enjoy?
I love my rock crawler and getting out with the guys in a more relaxing atmosphere as well.
What was your biggest accomplishment this season?
My biggest accomplishment this year was achieving 2nd place in every class I competed in.
What did you think of the 2023 Points Series?
I thought it was another great year, and well organized.
Who was your toughest competition this year?
My toughest competitor/s this year would have to have been Sam Elliott, Zac Soares, and Marc Detka. There were definitely more, but these 3 kept me on my toes all year.
What are your plans for this offseason?
Scale functioning Art project for next year…
What are your goals for next season?
My goal for next year is to keep having fun.

I plan on running 2 trucks in each of the Challenger, 2.6, and Retro classes.
Anyone you need to thank/other thoughts?
The biggest thank you goes out to Jacob Smallwood. Without him and BlackMarket RC, I wouldn’t be racing today
