The Nor Cal RC Monster Truck Series is a 501(c)(7) non-profit hobby club based in Northern California with the purpose of promoting racing events for the pleasure and recreation of its members. We are a group of enthusiasts that share a common interest in solid-axle monster trucks and our goal is to bring other enthusiasts together from all over the Northern California area to grow the hobby and offer competitive racing and freestyle on the West Coast to rival the events held in the Midwest and East Coast.
We offer 3 classes of trucks to compete in a season long Points Series with races held at AMain Silver Dollar RC Raceway, Auburn RC, and Rescue Community Center RC Track between April and October. The most popular is the Monster Truck class as it combines the scale looks of the real trucks and all the power you can handle to battle out in racing and the destruction of freestyle. The Retro Class replicates the Stage II monster truck era of the late 80’s with cars to crush and a place to race your Clodbuster or show off a scale shaft driven truck with a limited motor and minimum weight requirement. The 2.2 Class is for those who are more budget-minded and offers a place to race and freestyle with your Axial-based trucks on the same track as the bigger trucks.
For 2023, we are offering additional track time to newer, inexperienced racers with a Novice Class open to racers who have not been on the podium in the last two seasons to get additional practice and racing passes in a randomly seeded bracket. We are also adding a 2.6 Spec Scale Class similar to the RCMTC Challenger/Showtime Motorsports Ultra Mod Classes to give racers a chance to race with full cage trucks at a more scale speed.
Our motto is simple: Whether you come in first or last, we want to make sure you have a great time!
